BACK STAGE AT MR.B'S

Welcome Backstage

Karen-Ann's Homepage, well let me explain.  I am hoping to give you a behind the scenes view of Mr. B's Park.  Also I will be posting the information that we may come across that our patrons and all patrons of  Bluegrass may find useful or interesting.  If at any time you have a question or comment, please email us here at the park at Karen-Ann@MrBsPark.com . We always love hearing from the patrons of Bluegrass, because if it were not for all of you there would be no Bluegrass.

Here we go:  I am sitting on the gate (Wednesday evening 5:30 pm April 23, 2008) and the bean pot is just starting down at the pavilion.  The campground is full of campers and they are still coming.  Everyone is extremly happy that the weather has broke, the skies are sunny and the weather is perfect.  So this is what I have been waiting for, the first festival of the season.  It just didn't get here fast enough for me.  I am going to try and update this some thru the weekend......but if you have the time....come on down and enjoy.  We love having ya' and it just aint the same without 'cha. Cool

Friday April 24, 2008 6:30 am.......What a amazing day Thursday was!   Milford Station started our day of with a great set of Traditional and Bluegrass Gospel, Mark Templeton and Pocket Change......what a voice Mark has and the harmony of the band never ceases to amaze,Ted Jones just set the stage on fire with that mandolin, Carolina Sonshine entertained the crowd with their remarkable ability to reproduce the sound of the ol' greats and Kody Norris and the Watauga Mountain Boys rounded out the shows with a couple of guests (young banjo picker Mathew Henderson and Al Jones) and that wounderful Ol' Mountain Sound.  What really made the day for us here at Mr. B's Park was YOU.....the BLUEGRASS FANS.  I have said several time before but I have to say it again......Bluegrass Fans are the best people in the world.  For now I have to run and get my day started but I will leave you with  this  for now.....I was chomping at the bit for almost 2 months (ever since Kathy and Earls Cabin Fever) to get to yesterday.  We absouletly LOVE spending the time with ya'll here at Mr. B's Park and are so glad you came.  Talk to you soon.......TAKE CARE!

Thursday May 1, 2008.  Sorry it took me so long to get back to you all, but we have been cleaning up and resting since ya'll left on Sunday.  What a wonderful time we had visiting with all of you.  The show on Friday great with the Timmons Family, Dark Hollow, Mill Run, Larry Stephenson Band, Gold Heart, Jamaes King, and Rhonda Vincent. Again on Saturday we had a amazing time with Son Rise Kati Penn, James King, Will Mullins and Va Playboys, Anita Fisher and Ray Deaton and Bill Yates and the Country Gentleman Tribute.  Mr. B's Park was honnored to be part of East Coast Bluegrass Associations Award Ceremony.  The presented an award to Joe and Margaret Goddard for 20 years of Bluegrass Festivals at Lil' Margarets and to Charlie Waller and the Country Gentleman for 50 years of contribution to Bluegrass music, which his wife Sachiko Waller received on Charlie's  behalf. Also we had our first (but hopefully not our last) Night Owl show in the pavilion Saturday Night.

I am going to work the next week or so uploading all the pictures we took and if you would like to submitt some to be posted online please sent them to me at Karen-Ann@MrBsPark.com and we will get them posted as soon as we can.  Thanks for visiting......we hope you had as much fun here as we had having you.  see ya' soon and ....TAKE CARE!Smile

One last thing before you go.......PLEASE visit our volunteers page. They work very hard to make sure you have a good time.  We love everyone of them and want to give credit where it's due.Well time for me to run, there are tons of thinks to get done before ya'll get here. See ya' soon! Karen-Ann

Have you heard WHO is playing the JUNE 2008 SUMMER SHINDIG SHOW.

Aaron Tippin

I have to admitt, I have worked with a few Nashville Stars when we were at the restaurant and here at the park, but this one  I am really looking forward to seeing.

At the restaurant we had Johnny Paycheck, Lorrie Morgan, Keith Whitley (but he died about 25 days before the show date) Clint Black even stoped by for lunch one time, and quite a few others.  But this one just takes the cake for me anyway.  I have sat on this little Tid-Bit for 2 months now and if you know me than you know how I love to share good information.  This one has just about drove me nuts.  Needless to say it was 6 asprin a day at Cabin Fever to be able to bare the absolute torture of not telling ya'll, but the cat is out of the bag now, so click on over to Mr. B's Park web site and check out the info on the "Summer Shindig Festival" June 2008
